3 Basic Ringing Strokes

There are three basic ringing strokes that every ringer should learn right from the start. 1. Scarf stroke - round, legato, fluid movement. This is where you start!

2. Ladder stroke - for 2 or more notes in a row. Ring repeated notes faster, while using less energy by putting multiple strikes into a single circle!

3. Accent stroke - flat and tense. This is probably your default stroke, unless you work to change it to something more musical. It has a place and purpose, but it should be an intentional effect, not your default movement.
